East Cambridgeshire District Council

The Grange, Nutholt Ln, Ely CB7 4EE, UK – 01353 665555

I decided to phone as we were bringing our profoundly disabled daughter to Ely on her birthday, with us her parents and her grandmother in tow. We live in the Breckland area of Norfolk so not too far. The receptionist was very helpful and suggested where to park near the eating place we had chosen. The young woman had a charming and helpful manner and I could not have spoken to a more professional person. Congratulations and many thanks Peter Walmsley

A very polite, helpful and friendly telephone receptionist. I was able to get the information I needed and sort out the issue I needed within minutes.

Witchford Recycling Centre

Stirling Way, Witchford, Ely CB6 3FA, UK – 01353 668728

Excellent well run facility that can recycle virtually anything. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and tidy. Well designed.. And free!

Considering most recycling centres charge this is a great facility. I travel 20 miles to use it as it's slick.

Citizens Advice Bureau

70-72 Market St, Ely CB7 4LS, UK – 0344 245 1292

What can you say about this service.? It's magnificent, these people give up their time to help you through anything that you need help with. These are the people that need to be rewarded by her Majesty the Queen on the honours list This office has restricted opening hours but you can phone for advice. They have an answer phone and will call you back should you want them to. There is limited parking outside with a 30 minute maximum parking time but there is also disabled parking with the 3 hour limit on the blue badge. Unfortunately there is no toilet available to use in this office but there is a public house across the road that has a toilet you can use. There is also a Costa coffee two minutes walk away so you can quench your thirst and answer your call of nature should you need to.

Great service in terms of advice and lovely people
